On the occasion of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee newly named 111 national patriotism education demonstration bases. The naming work is closely combined with the study and education of party history and the promotion and education of the "Four Histories", highlighting important events, locations, and figures in the century old party history, and highlighting the important tools and achievements of the new China, especially the construction of a great country in the new era.
In June 2022, the the Taihu Lake Laboratory of Deep Sea Technology and Science was awarded the National Patriotic Education Demonstration Base and practiced the important publicity and education role of the National Patriotic Education Demonstration Base.
